2021 Etchells US National Championship, June 17-20, 2021
Etchells Fleet 4 - Marblehead and Corinthian Yacht Club hosted the 2021 Etchells US National Championship. Huge thanks to Paul McLaughlin and Michael Jobin our event chairs.
There was some serious, professional competition out there with 13/31 teams being Pros. After 3 days of intense and varied conditions CYC delivered a great regatta. Steve Benjamin captured the top position. Big shoutout to Fleet 4 members Tomás Hornos & team for a 2nd overall and James Pinder & Team for 3rd in the amateur class.
US Nationals was a "Clean Regatta"
The 2021 Etchells US National Championship, hosted by Corinthian Yacht Club, was run as a Clean Regatta earning the Silver Certification. The Sailors for the Sea Clean Regattas program is the world’s leading sustainability certification for all on-the-water events.
In the past 15 years, 2,600 events have shown their commitment to sustainability by becoming Clean Regattas. The program has reached 715,000 sailors in 40 countries with goals of eliminating single-use items, environmental stewardship, green boating, responsible water management, and community involvement.
